National Instruments has announced its NI-DAQmx Base, an open Linux driver and programming interface for NI E Series multifunction data acquisition devices, NI DIO-96 digital I/O devices and low-cost NI USB DAQ devices. This driver software offers Linux users NI-DAQmx measurement services technology as well as increased ease of use in connecting with high-performance NI data acquisition hardware. It offers advanced measurement services features including a clean, concise NI-DAQmx programming interface, programmatic channel and task creation and tight integration with more than 70 LabVIEW analysis functions.
