Logic level translators for cell phones, notebooks and portables.(Integrated Circuits)

ECN-Electronic Component News, March, 2005

Fairchild's FXL4T245BQX (4-bit bi-directional) and FXL5T244BQX (5-bit unidirectional) low-voltage logic-level translators in DQFN packaging are designed for battery powered portable devices. These CMOS-based FXL Series translators enable interconnection between a lower voltage microprocessor and higher voltage ASIC functions. These units provide level translation between the 2.5V to 3.3V I/Os of 3-, 4-, and 5-bit memory modules such as in Memory Stick[R] or Secure Digital (SD)[TM] card applications, and the frequently lower voltage I/Os of the processor chipset. Both translators feature configurable voltage supplies ([V.sub.CCA] and [V.sub.CCB]) for the inputs and outputs, allowing translation in either direction, between typical logic levels of 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V...
