ECN-Electronic Component News, September, 2005

Sharp Microelectronics of the Americas has introduced a 4.3" amorphous silicon TFT-LCD for next-generation mobile devices. The LQ043T3DX02 digital landscape display features a 16:9 aspect ratio, 480 X 272 pixel format, and it is capable of displaying 16 million colors. It is appropriate for design engineers developing mobile products with audio/visual capabilities such as gaming devices, portable media players, portable DVD players, PDAs, GPS devices, instrumentation and portable medical equipment. Because it is backlit by seven LEDs, the color screen can be continuously dimmed. The display features a 160[degrees] X 160[degrees] viewing cone. Sharp Microelectronics of the Americas
