IABC/Detroit's Renaissance Awards ceremony

AAA Michigan and DTE Energy both received top honors at the IABC/Detroit's Renaissance Awards ceremony. DTE Energy received the 2004 President's Award for Communications Management for its solid communication plan in the wake of the 2003 power blackout. The 2004 Best of Show winner for writing went to AAA Michigan's Jim Rinke for his "Passenger Limits" press release.
Other Best of Show awards went to Oakland University (Silver member) in art/design for "Pushing the Boundaries," a special print communication, and to Wayne State University (Business Builder member) in print communication for its annual President's Report and in communication technology for "A Whole New Experience," an interactive electronic presentation.
