High Point-- Opus Designs, a new youth bedroom furniture manufacturer, will make its debut here at this month's High Point furniture market. Run by partners Marc Katzman, a one-time rep for Lea Inds., and James Millner, who has 20 years' experience in youth product design and engineering with Stanley and Lea, Opus Designs will debut with six imported youth collections in a variety of styles.
The company showed in its Plaza Suites showroom at premarket, and Katzman said he was "absolutely overwhelmed with the response."
With an average of 20 SKUs in each of the six groups, the furniture is all manufactured in China and warehoused with MGM Logistics in Eden, N.C. "Everything is fresh and newly designed," said Katzman,...
