CATEGORY. Divers (diversified) international funds invest primarily in stocks of larger companies based outside the U.S. DivSm includes funds that invest in small foreign companies. Special (specialized) international funds invest in a single country or region. This group also includes diversified emerging markets funds. Global funds may invest in the U.S. as well as overseas. To be included, a fund must have a one-year record and usually at least $67 million in assets.
