The Australian Securitisation Forum's Sydney evening series discussion was lucky to hear from Cecilia Tarrant, who has recently been appointed chair of the European Securitisation Forum. Tarrant had flown in from Europe in the morning. Despite the jetlag, she gave a short speech on the ESF's recent dealings with European regulators--namely the European Commission--over various transparency initiatives.

However she did note it just wasn't the European Commission knocking at the ESF's door. "We've got more regulators than we knew we had coming at us," she said.
