Philip Chronican Group Executive, Institutional Bank, Westpac Banking Corporation
Philip Chronican was appointed group executive, institutional banking with Westpac in December 2005 and is responsible for Westpac's relationships with corporate, institutional and government clients in Australia and worldwide, as well as the business areas of financial markets, debt capital markets, specialised capital, structured investments and transactional banking. Mr Chronican has been with Westpac in a broad variety of positions in Australia and in New Zealand since 1982. His previous roles included business group chief financial officer roles in both retail and institutional banking, deputy CFO, then group chief financial officer from February 2001.

Peter Clare Group executive, Consumer Financial Services, Westpac Banking Corporation
Late last month it was announced Peter Clare was appointed Group Executive, Consumer Financial Services, replacing Mike Pratt who resigned from Westpac in December 2007.
Prior to joining Westpac, Mr Clare spent six years as a Group Executive for St George Bank, first as Head of Strategy and more recently as Group Executive Technology and Operations. Mr Clare has also held a number of senior executive positions at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where he was head of the strategy implementation group, responsible for the integration of Colonial Limited. His earlier experience encompasses management consulting, corporate reconstruction and insolvency.
Phil Coffey Chief Financial Officer, Westpac Banking Corporation
Phil Coffey was appointed Westpac's chief financial officer in December 2005, with responsibility for the finance, tax, treasury, risk management, legal, strategy, and investor relations functions.
He joined Westpac in 1996 and was appointed group executive institutional in 2002.
Previously with AIDC and Citicorp, Mr Coffey had over ten years experience in funds management and financial markets, including roles in the UK and New Zealand. He began his career with the Reserve Bank of Australia.
Chum Darvall Chief Executive Officer Australia and New Zealand, Deutsche Bank
Chum Darvall has been chief executive of Deutsche Bank in Australia and New Zealand since July 2002.

He joined the bank in September 1994 as director treasury, managing the money market swaps and foreign exchange units and group funding. In early 1998 he became head of global markets and was also part of the management group responsible for the successful integration of the New Zealand operation of Bankers Trust with Deutsche Bank in 1999.
Prior to his first appointment of Deutsche Bank, Mr Darvall worked in the financial markets divisions of Westpac (1985-1994) and BA Australia Ltd (19811985), a subsidiary of Bank of America.
Stuart Davis Chief Executive Officer, HSBC Australia
Stuart Davis joined the investment banking arm of the HSBC Group in Australia in 1981 and undertook several roles in corporate banking and specialised lending in Australia, Hong Kong and the USA.
