Hydrophobic liquid protection

Magnum USA with P2i developed an ion-mask technology for the tactical footwear industry. As a plasmabased technology, ion-mask was originally developed for the UK military, to repel chemicals and protect soldiers from chemical attack. It permanently alters the surface of a product at a molecular level to repel water and other liquids even blood pathogens- which are forced to bead up like mercury and simply run-off to protect the wearer. The technology are currently featured in the Elite Force 8.0 WPi and Elite Spider Recon 8.0 HPi.

Shirt-tuckable holster

DeSantis Gunhide's latest addition in IWB nylon, the No. 24, Tuck-This II is built from heavily padded 1050D Black-Ballistic nylon and lined with slick pack cloth. The adjustable belt tab can swing from cross draw to F BI -strong side carry. The tab allows the shirt to be tucked down in between the gun and trousers, affording nearly total concealment. DeSantis made the original Tuckable in the early 70s and cataloged it as the "IA" holster. Auto loader versions of the Tuck-This II will have a magazine pouch built into the front-holster spine. The M24 is currently made for most concealable handguns. An optional thumb break is also available.

Ballistic tactical vest

Protective Products International (PPI) provides law enforcement tactical operators with four versions of advanced protective gear. The Hornet is the law enforcement version of PPFs U.S. M. C. Modular Tactical Vest. The Hornet provides full 360-degree load-bearing capability in a two-point emergency release system and is made of 1,000 denier con- struction with a cool mesh inner surface for greater air circulation, adjustable shoulders and an emergency extraction drag strap. The Hornet is a modular sys- tem accommodating additional collar, throat, biceps, side gap, groin and lower back armor pro- tection. The Hornet also accepts side SAPI carriers and is MOLLE compatible. A front abdominal flap secures an external cummerbund and has a kangaroo pouch for documents or a holster.
