SAP Makes Supply Chain Moves.

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software giant SAP has made no secret of its hopes to expand its presence in the supply chain management software market. It took steps in that direction last month by launching two initiatives to

expand its transportation management and warehouse management capabilities. SAP, which is based in Waldorf, Germany, has long said it would like to develop a Logistics Execution System (LES) suite of software that would integrate warehouse and transportation applications into its supply chain planning and optimization modules.
