Fleets designed for rural transportation, tourists, city bus routes and commercial mowing are winning praise for their use of propane.

The four organizations were recognized as winners of the 2006 PROPANE Exceptional Energy Fleet Awards during the Clean Cities Congress & Expo 2006 in Phoenix.

Capital Area Rural Transportation System was recognized for delivering transportation tailored specifically for each of the 123 communities it serves in the Austin, Texas, area.

Historic Tours of America, which operates in Boston, Key West, Savannah, St. Augustine, San Diego and Washington D.C., uses propane for 90 percent of its fleet. It is the largest operator of theme tour vehicles in the country.
