I HAVE no doubt some of our readers are familiar with the Darwin Awards. For those who are not, let me explain that a Darwin Award is an honour given to people who supposedly help improve the human gene pool by removing themselves from it in a spectacularly stupid manner. The award is, of course, named after the evolutionary theorist, Charles Darwin.
