LANCET Combining aspirin with dipyridamole is more effective than aspirin alone for preventing vascular events after TIA or minor stroke, a study suggests.
There has been much uncertainty about the additional benefit of the dual therapy, after previous trials comparing it against aspirin alone had produced inconsistent results, researchers said.
The current trial involved 2739 patients with transient ischaemic attack or ischaemic stroke and had a mean follow-up of 3.5 years.
