AUSTRALIA SECURES Rh(D) SUPPLY

AUSTRALIA will produce its own supply of Rh(D) immunoglobulin and the Australian Red Cross Blood Service will stop issuing the US-supplied WinRhoSDF from 31 March, the RACGP has reported.

All Rh(D)-negative women without preformed anti-D can now be given antenatal and postnatal prophylaxis using solely Australian Rh(D) immunoglobulin.
