THE RACGP will bring in an international expert to assess its fellowship exam -- the so-called 'gold standard' of general practice -- to ensure it does not discriminate against international medical graduates (IMGs).

Last week the college vehemently defended the fellowship exam after concerns about bias against doctors from non-English-speaking backgrounds were raised after a slump in the pass rate due mainly to the influx of IMGs.
