Is your time more valuable than patients' time? Ethically, the answer is no. By John Kron.

MOST doctors who agree to be interviewed for an Australian Doctor article ask me to call them at the end of a morning or afternoon session. When we agree on a time, I usually say I understand if the doctor is running late with appointments.

However, when I said this to Dr Shaun Rudd, he replied: "Don't worry, I will be on time. I don't run late."

In 12 years of journalism, Dr Rudd, a GP in Pialba, Queensland, was the first doctor to ever say that to me.
