THE number of large GP practices with on-site pharmacies is expected to rise in the wake of the Fourth Community Pharmacy Agreement, struck between the Federal Government and the Pharmacy Guild last week.

Although the government stepped back from allowing pharmacies in supermarkets, the agreement includes a relaxation of the location rules that previously prevented new pharmacies from setting up within 1.5km of existing ones.
