GPs will be offered a new software system to help them collect and review performance data for the divisions network.

In July divisions of general practice were given a series of performance indicators by the Federal Government that included targets for immunisation rates and improvements in chronic disease management -- such as the proportion of diabetic patients with HbA1C levels below 7% and smoking rates among people with asthma.
