HEALTHY EMPLOYEES MORE PRODUCTIVE
HEALTHY workers are three times more productive than their unfit colleagues, research suggests. A study found healthy people produced 140 effective working hours a month compared with 45 effective working hours a month from the least healthy employees. The research, commissioned by Medibank Private, also found 21% of Australian workers smoked daily, 56% got less than seven hours' sleep a night and 22% said they felt unrefreshed or exhausted at work.
