FORMER RDAA leader Dr Sue Page last week was seeking a move into the federal election battleground as a candidate for the National Party.

The Lennox Head GP, who stood down from the RDAA two years ago, stood for pre-selection to represent the party in the seat of Page, in northern NSW. A vote was expected last Saturday, after Australian Doctor went to press.

The seat was held by National Party MP Mr Ian Causley in the 2004 federal election, with a 4.2% majority. Last year Mr Causley announced his decision to retire.
