Science looks to a brighter future for patients who have experienced brain injury.

CONSIDERING the millions of people who experience traumatic brain injuries each year worldwide, it seems remarkable that no drug has been developed with proven neuroprotective benefit.

At least 11.5 million people in the US and Europe are thought to be living with the ramifications of traumatic brain injury, which include disabling cognitive, behavioural and personality deficits.
