A STUDY showing high-dose inhaled corticosteroids could reduce lung cancer incidence in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients should prompt a review of existing data, an Australian expert says.

In an observational study of 10,000 US veterans, researchers found a dose-dependent decreased risk of lung cancer with inhaled corticosteroid use.
