FOR Dr Ken Koh, being involved in the continuing care of patients is one of the attractions of general practice.

Dr Koh started his general practice training in Brisbanethis year, after 10 years working in the hospital system, the last five in a private ICU.

Two factors led him to consider becoming a GP -- the taste he had of general practice while working as a relieving doctor in country hospitals and a desire to move away from critical care-based shift work.
