AFTER years of working as both a GP and a career medical officer in various hospitals, Dr Ross White jumped at the chance to take on the new 'hospitalist' role offered by the NSW Government.
NSW hospitals employ nine hospitalists, who work across various wards, emergency departments and outpatient clinics, and in community settings, providing care and co-ordinating the patient's journey through the health system.
