GP input into decisions on whether new drugs should be listed on the PBS has been boosted through the appointment of three new GPs to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee.

Professor Claire Jackson, the University of Queensland's head of general practice; Dr Steven Hambleton, former AMA Queensland president; and Dr Peter Roberts, a GP from Mudgee in rural NSW, will serve on the Federal Government committee for the next four years.
