Abusive patient register proposed.

THE Federal Government is being urged to expand the doctor-shopper hotline to allow GPs to both register and access details of dangerous and abusive patients.

The Australian General Practice Network (formerly the ADGP), which is putting together the proposal, said it hoped the system would equip general practice with the information to ensure patients posing risks could be dealt with during times when doctors were not working alone or without support.
