THE worst aspect of working as a locum GP is that no matter how nice a person you might be, you are always going to be a blow-in and will never be there long enough to really fit in to the practice.
Having done my fair share of peripatetic locum jobs over the years (most recently here in Ireland), it's a thrill when you start a proper job in a new practice and realise this might just turn out to be the start of a beautiful friendship.
