A CHANGE to the MMR dosing schedule and new advice on vaccine injection techniques are among a raft of revisions expected in the new Australian Immunisation Handbook .

The Federal Government has called for comment on proposed revisions in the 9th edition of the handbook, which was last updated in 2003.

Proposals included moving the second MMR vaccine dose to 18 months instead of four years, to provide two-dose coverage at an earlier age and improve overall coverage.
