CONCERNS supine sleeping to prevent SIDS may increase the risk of deformational plagiocephaly have been ruled out by a study showing the condition is linked to various factors, such as positioning preferences.

The prospective study of 380 healthy full-term infants explored the prevalence and development of the condition at birth and the seventh postnatal week.
