EDITOR As a cardiologist, I have seen many patients referred by their GPs as a result of 'abnormal' exercise stress tests performed at heart check clinics. In my experience of dealing with these anxious patients, 90% or more of the tests were not done correctly or reported correctly, but not actually falsely positive as such.
