THE AMA's preferred "minimal change" approach to national registration could compromise attempts to achieve consistent national standards, the Australian Medical Council warns.
In a submission on the Council of Australian Governments' proposal for national registration, the AMA last week called for state medical boards to be retained, with responsibility for "eligibility and category for registration".
