DEBATE in Federal Parliament has seen both sides of the house lay claim to a special understanding of the iconic Australian illness, the crook back.
Opposition leader Mr Kevin Rudd revealed that not only had he grown up in a log cabin and been evicted into the snow and ice at age 10, but that he had long suffered from 'a crook back, like many working men and women of Australia'.
