It is possible to make general practice safer for GPs and their staff.

THOUSANDS of GPs will experience violence, abuse or sexual harassment at work this year. However, there are resources available to help GPs protect themselves.

One of the most recent is the RACGP publication Safety for General Practitioners and their Practice Teams (see Resources below). It outlines several steps practices can take to improve safety.
