There are dos and don'ts when it comes to what to wear and how to behave in the surgery.
IT is not just clinical skills that make patients feel comfortable with, and confident in, their GP.
As well as keeping up to date and managing patients competently, GPs have to wear the right clothes, know where to draw the line on jokes, make people feel comfortable in the consultation room and ensure the information they provide is understood.
Dress choice will depend on each registrar's personality and where they work --but there are limits.
