MORE than half of Australian patients have used alternative therapies, even though they do not always believe they are backed by scientific evidence, a survey shows.

A national survey of 1250 patients commissioned by Australian Doctor and Pfizer Australia showed chiropractic was by far the most popular of the alternative therapies surveyed, with 34% of patients having visited a chiropractor.
