A patient complaining of pain and numbness who saw three GPs in three years is found to have a rare lung cancer. Expert opinion by Dr Craig Lilienthal

A 55-YEAR-old man who was trying to stop smoking consulted his GP. He had a long history of smoking cigarettes and admitted he was finding it difficult to give up. The GP recommended nicotine patches and ordered a CXR and blood tests.
