MJAThe incidence of childhood type 1 diabetes among NSW children is climbing by about 3% a year, according to data suggesting environmental factors are influencing the disease.
Analysis of diabetes registers, the diabetes supply scheme and other sources found the incidence climbed from 17.8 to 20.9 per 100,000 person-years between 1990-96 and 1997-2002.
