THE man who weathered the meltdown of Australia's medical indemnity industry has summed up his time at the helm of United Medical Protection as "the most fascinating five years" of his commercial life.

Former United CEO Mr Mike McLeod, who resigned last month, revealed that even in its darkest days -- with United in provisional liquid-ation and members leaving in droves -- he didn't despair.
