More risk data on NSAIDs.

MORE evidence that traditional NSAIDs increase cardiovascular risk has been found, with a study showing an increase in MI risk after one year's use of some drugs.

While effects varied among NSAIDs studies, patients taking diclofenac, ibuprofen or naproxen for more than one year had an overall 21% increase in the risk of MI and 34% increase in risk of non-fatal MI, said the study authors in BMC Medicine (online).
