GPs disgruntled by the outcome of the accreditation process for their practice need an independent appeals body that can decide on their complaint, according to the AMA.
The AMA has called for the establishment of an independent formal appeals process that doctors can turn to once the accrediting body's appeals process has been exhausted. This process has to be affordable and accessible for all practices, it said.
