HOT NIGHTS BOOST BLOOD PRESSURE

CHANGES in air temperature can have significant impact on blood pressure, particularly in the elderly.

A study showed that while systolic BP was significantly lower during hot weather and higher in cold temperatures, the reverse was true for night-time systolic BP.

The researchers said the results might have implications for seasonal modulation of antihypertensive treatment.
