A GP who shunned modern technology in favour of old-fashioned patient care has retired from full-time practice at the age of 70, without ever having had a computer or a phone in his consulting room.

Dr Kevan Fleming, who was a GP in the Western Sydney suburb of Mt Prichard for 33 years, said his practice was better for the lack of modern distractions and patients were better off as well.
