ADOLESCENTS who listen to sexually demeaning music are more likely to have early and risky sex than their peers who listen to music with non-degrading content, a study suggests.

The projected sexualised image of the musical artists' lifestyles, which young people emulate, could be a contributing factor, the study authors said.

"Highly popular music artists can serve as especially potent role models for teens," the researchers said.
