A DOCTOR has been deregistered for having a sexual relationship with a female patient, despite claiming that the reason his DNA was found in her vagina was because she planted it there.
The Tasmanian Medical Complaints Tribunal found Dr Ian Anthony Martin guilty of professional misconduct for having a sexual relationship with a patient in early 2004.
The patient gave evidence that she and Dr Martin had sex for the last time in March 2004, after which the woman had vaginal swabs taken at Launceston GeneralHospital. A DNA profile obtained from these was ...
