OVER the years there have been some changes to Christmas at our place. Soon after we arrived in Australia we realised the heat of Sydney in December made roast turkey and plum pudding a little unacceptable.

As the kids grew up, we found we disliked the carnage and commercialism of buying large numbers of presents in crowded shops, so we changed our gift regime.
