THE AMA has slammed a Queensland medical school's decision to replace lectures with online programs as "a total disaster", prompting debate on the best way to train doctors of the future.
The University of Queensland will pilot interactive web-based programs in place of most first- and second-year medicine lectures in 2007, with full implementation planned for 2008.
