ABOUT 30 GPs are embroiled in appeals against Medicare Australia's attempts to remove them from the vocational register for not completing the CPD program.
It is now two years since the deadline passed for doctors to accrue the 130 CPD points necessary to retain their VR status.
The doctors are being dealt with by a committee appointed by Federal Health Minister Mr Tony Abbott and all will remain on the register until the appeals process is complete.
