ZIMBABW E Hospitals in Zimbabwe are unable to afford basic medication such as painkillers and hypertension drugs due to a long-term recession that has seen inflation rates of more than 1000%. The Statesman, a Ghana-based newspaper, reports that major hospitals have no radiotherapy machines and rely on church donations for chemotherapy drugs.
