WHETHER it is giving health education talks or providing medical support at Saturday-morning sport, the traditional role of the GP as a key figure in the community is alive and well, an Australian Doctor survey reveals.
The survey found GPs were keen to support their local communities, with most volunteering their time to causes outside the profession.
