Patients okay with GPs talking fertility.

ALMOST 40% of adult Australians under the age of 30 would welcome their GP raising the issue of fertility with them or their partner, according to the results of new research by Pfizer Australia commissioned by Australian Doctor .

However, the research, which surveyed 1295 Australian adults, also found that patients of an age when infertility was most pertinent would be less receptive to questioning. Only 28% of people aged 31-40 years said they would be pleased if their GP raised the issue of fertility with them or their partner.
